- TONGUE TIED TWIN is a Blues Trash One Man Band fighting out of Winterthur in Switzerland. The only band member is Christian Buehlmann born in that same small city in the year 1969. TONGUE TIED TWIN is playing the Blues, primitive Rock'n'Roll and whatever else comes naturally. His music is energy driven and heartfelt. The guitar playing and the guitar sound are the core of his one man show, while the stomping, shouting and hollering make the TONGUE TIED TWIN sound complete. Kick drum, hi-hat, tambourine, guitar, bottleneck, blues harp, kazoo and voice are his means to fill the stage with noise. Christian Buehlmann started to play guitar at the age of 12, always played in bands since he was 15. He learned how to really hit the guitar hard in his early 20's in a crossover punk band in Zurich. He learned never to trust music business executives and that dedication is key during his 4 years in Cardiff in Great Britain while having a record deal and enjoying numerous television appearances. After that he learned to put meaning into whatever you choose to do, working together with a welsh songwriter and poet. The money run out in 2001 and Christian Buehlmann returned to Switzerland. He bought a drum kit and his One Man Band was Born in 2004 while he was renting a workshop in a old factory. After loads of experiments the drum shrunk to just Kick and Hat, and the decision was made to always perform all the instruments live and simultaneously. “TONGUE TIED TWIN's sound takes you down to the roots, you can feel that it's real.” “This man truly turned his back on the music industry that's why he's making good music.” TONGUE TIED TWIN says: “The best thing about the One Man Band is that I am completely free on and off the stage. Nobody tells me what to do or when to do it and I always know who to blame. In 2008 my son was born and soon after I decided to make that long overdue step and take my band out into the world, so here I am... TONGUE TIED TWIN, I am just one man in the band, enjoying pure freedom.”
