- The Branded are a garage R'n'B trio from Malmö in southern Sweden. Primitive drums, fuzzy guitar and pounding bass make up the Branded's wild and raw sounds. So far the Branded have recorded three 45's two available on Dirty Water records and the third is on Beatschaffe Records Germany. The Branded also have two LP's on Dirty Water records, the first self-titled LP was released 2008 and the second LP 'Shout & Holler' was released 2009. The Band are now recording their third LP which will be released on Soundflat records, Germany. Release date will around early September 2011. A tour of German will follow, with gigs in Norway, Spain, UK and Denamark. The Branded are always looking for new labels to release 45's and EP's so get in touch if interested.

Branded tour Italy 2-7 March, plus new LP out September

The Branded are back after a spell in 're-hab' and have a bunch of new songs and a new LP coming out on Soundflat records summer 2011, with new bass player Harri Kolari the sound is more rockin' and primitive, so if you live in northern Italy come check it out. If not then the band will be touring Germany, Holland, Norway and Spain this year, if you cant get there then buy the new LP out in August/September.

UK gigs and new singles released

Part one of our UK tour goes like this:
May 1 - Dirty Water Club, London
May 2 - Frathouse at Mothers Run, Bristol
May 3 - Firefly, Worcester
A new single is out in May on Dirty Water Records, a two track vinyl 45, songs are 'She's my woman' b/w 'Justine'. The A-side is a re-release of our first single, which has become much in demand as only 100 were pressed.
The B-side is a cover of Don & Deweys R'n'B rocker 'Justine', but is more like the greasy… Continue

For our final look into Sweden for the month, we end appropriately with the debut full length release from The Branded, a bare bones garage rock trio based in Malmo that includes Brit Lee Tea, former member of garage/booze thugs Thee Exciters.
