Bio:
The Infoiatis is an Italian surf, garage and instrumental duo founded by the guitarist Paolo Ballone (The Faraons, Earl And The Losers) and the drummer Maurizio Ficcca in Bologna during 2008. The band first first line-up featured Paolo Ballone on guitar, Lorenzo Pelle on bass, Maurizio Ficcca on drums and Luca Porreca on organ and vibes. Their music was mainly influenced by various surf, garage and R&B instrumentals compilations like Las Vegas Grind, Frolic Diner, Surf Creatures, Riot City and artists/bands like Bo Diddley, The Frantics, Link Wray, The Rumblers, The Revelers, The Pyramids. The Infoiatis made their first "live in studio" recording during 2008 and playing two original songs and some instrumental surf covers. The demo was recorded using an Eko Cobra guitar, an Eko 775 bass, an Eko Tiger organ and other cheap vintage equipment, so The Infoiatis called it "Eko Sessions". A few months later the demo release, Luca and Lorenzo left The Infoiatis. Paolo and Maurizio didn't stop playing together and went ahead composing and recording new original instrumentals in studio using overdubs and introducing new LO-FI, ska, exotica, psychedelic and 80's garage revival influences on The Infoiats' sound. On April 2010, The Infoiatis published their new self-produced demo "Deep Jungle Safari".
