- For three Cleveland expatriates, turns out nothing heavy was happening at the double down in Las Vegas, Easter weekend 2005. It was thereupon agreed that the best and only antidote to this lack of action was to adopt Austin, Texas as a crash pad and form a proper bargain-basement R&B combo. Which was done, once having located a bass player. Ronnie Dawson, the Hawks avec Ronnie Hawkins et Bob Dylan tous les deux, Bo Diddley, the Rolling Stones, The Clash, Lee "Scratch" Perry and the Kershaw brothers--these are all retained as spiritual advisors to the jungle rocker camp. Some swear by the two extant eps (self-titled and "Cool it Out", respectively); others insist that the gigs afford a glimpse of the true cross. All are superlative. Ask the French.
