- We're a blast ponk rock band from Brooklyn that keeps it fast, tight and fun.
Hatched in 2007 by Jeff "JD" Wood (expat of the Seattle 90s madness) and drummer David "Eggs" Friel, TWJ began as a bass&drums duo, experimented as a trio (releasing an EP in 2009 and recording a full-length) but ultimately returned to its 2-piece roots in 2010 with Wood jumping over to a bass-heavy guitar setup and a solid rotation of guests bending harps, blowing horns and pounding basses as the mood demands.
We love bashing around in the musical space somewhere between the garage-punk spirit of X and the old-school brawn of Black Sabbath while humming a Pixies tune.
