I vowed not to return to my Hideout page until recalling the punk band who did a psyched-out version of "Crystal Chandelier", (also "Francis", originally by the Walker Brothers' Gary & The Rain - their coolest freak beat track).
I had a flyer and an EP around 22 years ago by the mystery band I was mistaken in thinking were from Texas - so even eagled-eyed friends on GaragePunk couldn't remember such a crew.
Boy was I off, since TYRN AROUND were from Australia!

Just been racking my brain trying to remember if I ever ran into a Texas 60's garage band in the 80's....
Of course, there must have been a scene out there but I can't recall seeing a band from there back then. Certainly, Texas' contribution in the 60's is well known and well documented if not celebrated with bands such as the Zachary Thaks, Moving Sidewalks, 13th Floor Elevators etc. Thanks for listening and keep me posted about the Texas scene in the 80's if you find out more.
