Profile Information

Location:
Istanbul
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
Bio:
Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. I listened to my mother's records as a child, so must of my childhood has a soundtrack made up of Turkish psychadelic music and rock'n roll. Listened to punk for quite a while as a teenager. I was trained to be a sociologist, so I'm trying to become one. I like reggae and jazz too, but psychobilly and Asian garage bands astonish me the most. And Balkan punk bands. This is what I'm currently studying. Other than sociology that is.

Favorite Music/Influences (list some bands, musicians, genres, etc.):
Man or Astro Man?, Messerchups, Link Wray, Ghastly Ones, Shonen Knife, Blue Hearts, Balzac, Misfits, The Clash, The Stranglers, The Beat, Os Mutantes. I'm too lazy to write more.

By the way, if you haven't heard of any of our podcasts yet (you didn't list any in your profile), you can do so easily enough by clicking the Podcast Network link from the menu above under Podcasts. You should really check 'em out... but be careful, you may just get hooked. Thanks!

Hi Zeynep, I'm kopper. Welcome to the Hideout. First off, please read the Network Guidelines page for a few simple rules to follow. Then, to help you find your way around and get started, I recommend taking a few minutes to read this introductory guide. It should do a good job in giving you a better idea of what all is available to you here. Hopefully you'll like what you find and keep coming back for more, because that's what it's all about. Cheers!
