"Hey... greetings from Adelaide to Montevideo...thanx for the invite! interesting stuff you've got going there... great artworx and the masks are very cool! Send us something we can play on our radio show once you've recorded... Cheers!"
On the beginning of 2011 two friends were watching the old Bruce Lee film "Green Hornet" and listening to the mitic band "The Cramps" which they both loved, it may have been the cheesy atmosphere of the film or the creepy dark notes coming from the old record player, but later that night Tesito (one man band) and Mathias (singer) started rehearsing at their aparment. A few days later, at a gig in the 29th of April of 2011 (International one man band day) they debuted at a local venue, where the legend begun.
From the city of Maldoror, breathing the fumes from the harbour and the seedy little bars, the Goo Goo Mucks were born.
Mixing the essence of the one man bands and the dark garage, The Goo Goo Mucks created a unique sound and style, which they call trash garage punk.
Behind the immutability of Tesito, the histrionic ways of Mathias, exhausting performances and masked faces, lies the influence of post punk, moody garage bands, dirty blues, garage punk, noise, fuzz and the esthetics of horror flicks, the surrealist movement, and the strange creatures that live under your bed.
"There's something in the garage, and it wats to come out"
