The Von Ghouls are a garage-punk-horror-bubblegum band from the NY/NJ area. We like B-movies and fuzz.
History: In 1999, The Von Ghouls became the first band with animated cartoon episodes on the internet (see http://vonghouls.com). A year later, the band started playing live shows in NYC featuring Jake and Brian Payne (Undead) on guitar and Pete (Coffin Daggers) on bass.
The band reformed in Rockland County, NY in 2002 with Dank, Kira and Steve to compete in Little Steven's garage rock competition where they met Mike Fornatale (Cavestomp, The Monks, Richard & The Young Lions, Shaw 'Nuff). A vinyl-only EP was recorded for Zodiac Records, a no-profit Bronx, NY label run by reclusive enigma Rick Manzi (Shondells, Gang War, Air Raid) with various VGs tunes airing on WMFU and other "garage punk" radio shows. After playing live on Sirius' Fangoria Radio, the band died and was reborn again with Jake, Dank, Eric and Little Ricky (Electraluxx, Savage Rooster) as one of NY/NJ's few remaining garage punk acts...
