Person can get a bit confused at times.Tomorrow is my last day at work for four-weeks at least.
Everything is tormented, turned upside down.
Nothing´s quite as it seems.
Why is that?
Gotta get grip on things...For several months i´ve been sleeping five hours at night, pushing my sleep-debt further and further. Then got sick on fever and flu. Nothing really done as planned. It´s a bit distressing.
But now i´m gonna go packing,…

Jet Boys "Teenage Thunder revisited" lp is now available.
It's a reissue of their debut album which was orginally released (as cd only) on Gong in Japan in 1992 (so the same period as their great Demolition Derby 7"). Last year it was reissued on cd in Japan on Solid but now it is available for the first time ever on vinyl.
You get the original 14 tracks of the Gong cd, 2 bonustracks from the "Get out my girl" ep & then two vinyl-only tracks. Ono also made new artwork for the…

What goes on in a large, sub-cellar room illuminated by flickering lanterns on a sultry summer night in St. Louie? Why, only the mad creation of a new episode of
Savage Kick, of course, the hard and relentless fight of one man against the forces of evil (bland, uninspired mainstream corporate rock, natch). Tune in this time to hear sonic rumblings from artists like the Oblivians, Mark Sultan, Holly Golightly, The Third Bardo, The Greenhornes, The Rip Offs, The…

"Blood wipes the windshield/seatbelts made of guts/foot acts as a brake/stomach accelerates/skulltires rolling/eyes on the bumber glaring/rectum releases exhaust/buttocks instead of seats..." (Corpse Motorik). These words mix well both, H.R.Giger and J.G.Ballard together. Dark humorous gore hitting the road of exstacy and pain, like all the Valse Triste fans know, their music has always been like complete mutiny. Madness growing worse over weirdness. You might as well do…

The store will be open as usual on July 21st, no closing for the national holiday.
I got the Jet Boys vinyl in last friday,(new Demolition Derby release) currently waiting on the sleeves,as soon as I got those in,I'll post another blog with some more info.

So it seems that there may be a possibility of creating a small garage scene here in Knoxville. While I'm normally a bit of a recluse due to my poor financial situation and school situation (working on my thesis), I have managed to get a little over the last few weeks to see some local bands. I was surprised by the two that I will mention here, the other doesn't fit into the garage category at all so I won't mention them - this is not a slight on them, they play a fine variant of whatever the…

When I can be arsed I'm gonna put up some mp3's of my old bands recordings, mainly demo's and unreleased stuff, also some 45's too (which have dissapeared into the bargain bins long ago). Myabe not much interest to anyone, but it gives me an excuse to get some of those 100's of demo casettes onto cd and mp3 format. The first stuff up will be some early Nuthins recordings from '89 to 91, and also some early Hoodwinks demos.
Hope you enjoy, if not I understand! : )

I was gonna say something about my first time getting garage rock... but I then I remembered that this is the Garage... Punk..... hideout, so maybe I should say something about my first time with the garage punk... It was the late 80's and I was a teenage...and my brother and I had rented this flick called Dudes... a punk western, that featured a soundtrack made up of a mix of punk and metal. The punk stuff was what caught my ear, but the metal was the stuff that I could find in my local record…

Hello,
Here is my first blog entry. I thought I'd share a little poem I just wrote with you. I was at a poetry workshop recently and the theme of the evening was "protest poetry." Well, here's my little stab at it. Until I can get a better title, it's called "The Rest of America Can Still Blow Me." Hope you enjoy:

all wrapped up in lights

The Humpers - Live in St. Louis (February 25, 1996)
Thanks to Jim Utz for this soundboard recording of The Humpers live at Cicero's basement bar, Feb. 25, 1996... The band had just been to town about seven months earlier, but on their second trip through they packed a lot more punch, played a lot tighter, had a more energetic set, and the crowd definitely responded better, so all-in-all considered, I thought this was the better of the two sets,…

This ain't Little Steven's Underground Garage, no siree... Kopper hits the mic after a long day of kickin' it poolside and partaking of some fireworks wars on the 4th of July to present over an hour's worth of firecracker-hot garage, punk, and primitive rock'n'roll. Dig the sounds of Screaming Lord Sutch, Andre Williams, The Countbackwurds, The Hentchmen, King Louie and The Loose Diamonds, Black Tie Revue, The Cynics, The Touch-Me-Nots, The Tranzmitors, Ape City R&B,…
