Comment by The Ungodly 77s on January 25, 2013 at 1:57pm The book goes into detail as to how the Velvet Underground basically came to existence and how Andy Warhol fits into the whole equation.
Comment by dave on January 25, 2013 at 3:15pm Fuckin' LOVE that book! I've given away 2 copies, it's so good!
Now reading Legs' oral history of Porn movies, THE OTHER HOLLYWOOD.
Hoping to read his GIRL WITH THE MOST CAKE next. It's autobiographical, have you read it?
Warhol is so under-rated, "Oh, all he did was silk-screens." RRRRRRRong!!
He was one of the first artists to embrace all media. And there was his good-heartedness and sense of humor to appreciate.
He was an early punk, essentially.
Comment by Drew Starr on January 26, 2013 at 6:05pm please kill me is the best book ever!!!!!
Warhol is my hero.
Comment by dave on January 27, 2013 at 2:07pm Yeah, Legs and Gillian pulled out alla the stops on that one!
I found out that on holidays, Warhol would volunteer to serve the homeless at his Catholic church! Wow, who'da thunk, mischievous punk and friend to the homeless! Too cool...
