Euro Beat 2008

Currently enjoying watching and enjoying Euro 2008 football championship(or Soccer to any Americans out there ) even though my own native teams England and The Republic of Ireland didn't even qualify still it good to cast an eye over some decent football without any jingoistic overtones ,
Which leads me to the subject of my journal , I'll be uploading obscure but cool Garage/Beat tracks from all over Europe onto my playlist everyday I've uploaded a few already from groups still in the tournament (for example today I added Polanie (a Polish Garage Band and yesterday The Matadors a group from 60's Czechoslovakia from today onwards it will all be of a continental flavour till end of tournament (except in a few cases ..Russia and Romania don't seem to have a rich Garage heritage (..those pesky Soviets) so I'll track down songs loosely connected to those nations.
Of course there's plenty of other music on my playlist too , plenty of frantic rave ups mash ups and fuck ups .. I was going to have just 66 tracks but I've exented it to a nice round number 100 Boss Tracks so feel feel to drop by and give your lugs a treat

Now theres an idea ..how about garage punk action figures , I can imagine it now Roky Erickson(with detachable beard) Or Keith Moon Figure with exploding drum kit.. ? Mark with cowboy hat and shades maybe I should pitch this idea to a toy company lol.. looks like they've already done Sex Pistol Dolls as illustrated below

It would be nice to think that happened in a parallel universe, maybe he should of fronted Them after Van Left :) looks very sharp in that photo.. still he's the template for the original footballer action man , not sure where he got the scar from though lol

Great entertainment start to finish, not one single dud, so it's going to be a difficult show to follow, Gents. (I'd forgotten just how good Dr John could be, this was a timely reminder to start digging in the vinyl vaults again)
