Comment by Pete Sottrel on November 1, 2012 at 9:08am That's an outstanding collection of tunes - thanks very much! Whereabouts on the English East Coast are you based? I'm from over that way (near Ipswich), and grew up on the excellent pop-punk fare from the area (Stupids, Perfect Daze, Space Maggots, Goober Patrol) and the somewhat noisier hardcore as proferred by ENT and their ilk (flagons of rough cider all round!).
Can't go wrong with John Dwyer's precision aggro, Ty Segall's singular genius and Dirty Beaches' sublime 50s-style Lynchisms. Thanks again!

Comment by Polyvinyl Craftsmen on November 1, 2012 at 4:57pm Cheers Pete, we are Southend/Westcliff/Leigh on Sea based. The Adicts were always my favourite Ipswich band, bit obvious maybe but I still think Lunch With The Adicts ep sounds great. Thanks for getting in touch, Coop.By the way head to polyvinylcraftsmen.blogspot.com to hear more.
Comment by Pete Sottrel on November 2, 2012 at 6:56am very remiss of me to neglect to mention The Adicts, especially as I ruined my leather jacket painting on the logo and Monkey face on the back! Ah, the plight of a 15 year old hick desperately hanging round those Parrot Records on a Saturday afternoon and trying to be a punk, but without daring actually talking to anyone (well, any of the Ipswich punks, of whose "scene" I was craving to be a part, while most of them were probably just as desperately wishing that they were in DC or Southern California!).
