DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS IS A NON - ISSUE?

.....I just read that there's a campaign in New York City to ban the sale of LARGE SOFT DRINKS.   Yeah.  Apparently , they're the cause of obesity. They don't help (The ones that actually contain sugar.) , but we're hardly talking about holding a lone suspect for questioning , because no other guilty factors could be found. Besides , in the times I've visited , and greatly enjoyed , New York , the only thing harder to find than a grocery store or a proper place to eat was A FOUNTAIN DRINK !!!!! Sorry , my preference is for fountain drinks , then canned , then in a plastic bottle , if it's an emergency. Everywhere I went , and I walked for miles , no one even had fountain sodas. All this energy could be directed somewhere else , I think.  Actually , it's hilarious . But , it is'nt , because it's telling people how to spend their money. We're not talking Alcohol , Tobacco and Firearms , we're talking POP !!!!! This is the biggest scam to hit New York since the Ban on Dancing in the late 90's.

The only reason this is an issue is that it an issue AT ALL. Bloomberg is a fascist idiot. He thinks just because he can boss around the people in his mega-corp he can treat the entire citizenry of NYC the same way.

I saw some ridiculous news story about the people working in his big NYC Bloombergcorp offices -- they were saying how cool it was there were gourmet coffee machines right in the office.

Well, that isn't because he wanted to leave treats for the kiddies. He probably had some bean counter figure out it was costing the company money for people to go out and get coffees.

btw: the best dishing and bitching at the megacorp I worked at was ALWAYS done in the ole coffee room, away from the supervisors and desks. I noticed Bloombergcorp's coffee machines are in the centre of the offices. No place to foment dissent there!

That's an amazing , if depressing , revelation about the rerouted coffee room scenario....But , also the fact that New Yorkers are being treated like they don't have choices. A person can choose to buy a smaller drink , or not , or to drink sugar free sodas , if at all , or not.....Or they can have drinks that are supposedly better for them , but , sometimes have more calories than a regular coke.

That's right Big Brother Bloomberg knows BEST for his minions. Blame New Yorkers for voting for the fascist.

Perhaps they like giving up their power to others -- for people like Bloomberg to make the really tough decisions for them, like, you know, how much soda they 'can' drink?

Isn't it nice that Bloomberg has already fixed all the really big problems for them, so that, since it's such a great place, he can concentrate on theses lesser issues? Those lucky people of New York.
