COATHANGERS/HEAVY CREAM - MERRY GO ROUND/TOASTED
HEAVY CREAM's 'Toasted' not only sounds like a fitting addition to Jeff the Brotherhood's record label, it sounds like the long lost rock'n'roll gem that first incited Joan Jett and Johnny Ramone to pick up guitars back in the '70s. COATHANGERS contribute another beer-soaked, dance-inducing jam.
COWBELL - TALLULAH/CRY BABY
A cool 7-inch from the US garage- and soulrock duo. The A-Side is taken of their 'Beat Stampede' full length, the flip 'Cry Baby' is a non-album recording.
EETS FEATS - SUMMER FLEXI SERIES
Flexi disc 7-inch! Slightly surfy, fully creepy and outta freakin nowhere. Amped up and reverbed out. Like a cross between Cosmonauts and Solid Attitude.
ESCAVELS - YOU SHOULD NOW/LONELY SEA
Two mid western landlocked surf classics cut to acetate in 1965 and unheard until now. Features future members of Pacifica Gas and Electric and McDonald and Sherby! Includes photo / bio insert and hand stamped sleeve. Limited edition of 350 records. 45 r.p.m. The Escavels bridge the gap between The Ravens and the legendary Chicago garage punks The Things To Come. They were considered the teen heartthrobs (surely not more than the Ravens!?) of the west suburban Chicagoland dance scene and actually won the Talented Teen Contest in 65! Some Escavels members went on to some pretty heavy gigs: from garage legends (Things To Come) to major label blues n boogie bands (Pacific Gas & Electric) to cult psychedelic albums (McDonald & Sherby), their influence might surprise you. The lucky guys cut a single acetate that were really excited to share with the world. Two mid western landlocked surf classics, locked away for 47 years.
GAP DREAM - GENERATOR/A LITTLE PAST MIDNIGHT
Mystical, stoned-to-the-bone one-man garage rock. If Lou Reed and Jason Pierce had MacBooks back when they were starting out, it wouldn't be hard to imagine them kicking out a jam like 'A Little Past Midnight'. Warm, wacked out, psychedelic grooves with smooth harmonies, warbling tremelo guitar, and reverberating haze.
GRIFFITH HARTER UNION - PROGRESS/A HOUSE IN THE COUNTRY
Two forgotten Chicago garage rock classics from the dawn of "long-hair" and the wah-wah pedal in 1967. Two great PRETTY THINGS covers. Includes photo / bio insert and hand stamped sleeve. Limited edition of 300 records. 45 r.p.m. Alonas Dream Records is pleased to present a reissue of the only single from fabled Chicago garage rock band: The Griffith Harter Union. These sides, originally recorded at Chess Studios, represent the only audible remains of the band which played frequently in Chicagos burgeoning "Old Town" music scene. The record was originally released in an edition of a few hundred on the Chicago label "Jim-Ko" in 1967. The searing lead guitar on the A-side Progress is a tough Chicago garage take on a song made popular by The Pretty Things and features the very early use of a wah-wah pedal, which was only invented in late 1966. The band played all the major clubs throughout Chicago and its suburbs as well as a few gigs on the road, including a two week booking at the Aragon Ballroom backing up Baby Huey and the Babysitters. They were also featured at the first Chicago "Human Be-In" held on Mothers Day 1967 in Lincoln Park. The band existed from 1967 until 1969.
HEAVY TIMES - LOST DOGS (SUMMER FLEXI SERIES)
Part of Rotted Tooth's 'Summer Flexi' subscription series. 'Lost Dogs' is an upbeat windows-down, girl-on-your-arm, open container summer jam. B/w 'P.O. Box'.
KITCHEN'S FLOOR - BITTER DEFEAT
A pair of jangly noise-punk sides from this Australian three-piece.
COWBELL - BEAT STAMPEDE
COWBELL are Jack Sandham and Wednesday Lyle. The duo play garage/soul/rock'n'roll and write songs that combine a lyrical charm and ease with a sound that's full-bodied and powerful in spite of their stripped-down set-up. They take their influences from both sides of the Atlantic with a love for both the output of U.S labels such as Stax, Motown and Sun and for British sixties R&B bands such as The Small Faces, The Kinks and The Zombies. LP edition.
DEATH LETTERS - POST HISTORIC
On vinyl, this is the second long player from Dutch garage- and blues rock duo Death Letters. Less bluesy than their debut, this is another strong set of wild and unpolished recordings.
EPSILONS - EPSILONS
Now also on vinyl, the debut release from the real OC's garage rock foursome. Fourteen blistering songs that snap crackle pop and just want to love you. This is where TY SEGALL and CHARLIE MOONHEART started.
FIEND WITHOUT A FACE - FIEND WITHOUT A FACE
Featuring MASTODON guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, Fiend Witout A Face delivers a solid set of twangy, psychobilly rock on this s/t album.
MARKETTS - NO MATTER WHAT SHAPE
Reissue on vinyl, with reproduced artwork and labels. This is an excellent instrumental surf album from the first half of the sixties, recorded by LA's popular combo The Marketts.

PEACOCKS - DON'T ASK
Around for nearly 20 years and they will stay forever. They're cool and they look smart. But the most important thing is that they love what they do and are still hungry to play live! If you can't believe this, convince yourself by visiting one of their amazing rockin live shows. Their genius mixture of punk, rockabilly and psychobilly garnished with cool beats and a pinch of pop, will keep you dancing all night long.
SCIENTISTS - RUBBER NEVER SLEEPS (2LP)
30 years. This is what it has taken for this record to see the light as an official release and on deluxe double vinyl format. Originally released in the early '80s in Australia only as a bootleg cassette, 'Rubber Never Sleeps' has now been properly mastered, sounding remarkably improved and reviewed by The Scientists. This deluxe edition is accompanied with texts by Kim Salmon (Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon, Kim Salmon & The Surrealists ...), James Baker (Scientists, Victims, Hoodoo Gurus, Beasts Of Bourbon, Dubrovniks ...), Rod Radjal (Scientists, Les Hoodoo Gurus, The Johnnys ...), Tony Thewlis (Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon, Interestellar Villains, Scoundrelles ...) and Boris Sujdovic (Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon, Dubrovniks ...), all narrating memories, anecdotes, opinions and ideas of that time. This recording compiles the long lost early 'Loft Tapes' recorded in Perth in the late 70s as well as the beginning of their diabolic 80s swamp noise sound in Sydney. These recordings feature very rare tracks by this seminal combo such as covers of the Modern Lovers, Alan Vega, Troggs, Chuck Berry and Alex Chilton, as well as their long time classics such as 'Frantic Romantic' or 'Swampland', among others. A must have for all Scientists fans.
SUJDOVIC, BORIS - DESPERATE GIRL
This is the shit, mate! Boris Sujdovic did it again! Here you have a brutal sonic attack and then your ears blow due to an O.D. of fuzz and distortion where Scientists, Suicide, Stooges, Velvet Underground and early Jesus & Mary Chain mix and burn. Boris Sujdovic is not exactly a newy. His background and present at Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon and Dubrovniks put him at his place. But here he does what he wants, wild and free. Side A of this LP is only guitar, while side B is only bass. All of it sublime, melting amps and speakers. Too much.
