After their debut "Heart of stone" 7"ep on Lost In Tyme Records, the garage psych band from Thessaloniki, Greece strikes back with a brand new release. Their debut album "I'm Dead" contains 12 original recordings that will blow your mynd with their US 60s & 80s inspired garage psych tunes. Limited edition release of 350 black vinyl pieces. "Couped up in the lower quarters of their collective dwelling house bravely trying to capture the impulses and absorb all the raw electrical vibrations of the city before they are flitted up and out into the ether - into society's upper echelons and beyond. A young quintet from Thessaloniki fed from an endless succession of loud plasticised aural delights culled from a bygone age and ceremoniously beamed down to them from strange gatherings of well-wishers and soothsayers. They exist many days now on nothing more than this strict diet of guitars, organ, drums, harmonica, maracas and vocals. They are The Basements and they have now arrived to the ongoing party fueled by the cacophonous fuzz-buzz jet-roar of travelling everywhere anytime, their journey only occasionally infiltrated with the here-it-is-again clang of daybreak, to climb amidst the toils, spoils and peculiar stresses of inescapable modernity; of life to be lived and died in the fast-burning, stomach-churning candle wick reality of the clock-bating new world. They did it again! The french ambassadors of the yéyé beat return with their third album "Quelque chose comme a"! So, are you ready for an amazing 60's dance party? LES TERRIBLES deliver an incredible mix of 60's garage-punk & big-beat shouters and give all of you Beatkeller-dwellers an excuse to dust off your winklepickers and give your mojo a workout! The band that includes members of THE NO TALENTS, LES SYNAPSES, DUTRONC, CECILIA UND DIE SAUERKRAUTS & OPERATION S goes back to the sound of the French Beat & Roll when it was bitten by the Big Bad British Bug back in 1965. Imagine how THEM, THE SMALL FACES, THE YARDBIRDS or the early STONES would've sound if they were from France, never turned professionals and Van Morrison, Keith Relf or Mike Jagger were chicks. All the songs are in French, with that glamorous 'mademoiselle' accent! The band could've been described best as the great french sixties rock band that should have existed but never did. Owing to cultural impediments and lame business practices, there were very few outstanding french rockers from that period. Ronnie Bird, Larry Greco, and a dozen others you've never heard of: LES TERRIBLES cover them all, and every song makes you wanna dance. The band rounds out their set with some originals, as well as their own french versions of some great foreign songs that never got adapted before, all done with a perfect ear for the style. Fronted by the charming and talented chanteuse Rudie this hard-working orchestre delivers the groove that gets the dance floor moving to the Swim, the Jerk, and the Hully-Gully.
