Single (7")

KING SALAMI - BLOODY MARY
One of Europe's ultimate R&B-punk sensations! This 7" includes a cover of their beloved Barrence Whitfield & The Savages, and another of American garage legends, Crawdaddys.

OLIVERS - I SAW WHAT YOU DID/BEEKER STREET
The Olivers from Fort Wayne, Indiana evolved out of the Serfmen, a very popular band in the region, that had already released two nowadays rare 45's on their own Nemfres label. When the Serfmen signed with Dino Enterprises, an Indiana based agency in 1966, original member Greg Church left the band and was replaced by Billy Franze from another local group, The Unexpected. The Band then moved in a more British invasion direction for their music and outfit and changed name to The Olivers. The line-up at the time consisted of Jay Penndorf (guitar, vocals), Chuck Hamrick (drums), Carl Aldrich (keyboards, vocals) and Billy Franze (bass, vocals). The group's sole 7" release, 'I Saw What You Did' b/w 'Beeker Street' was recorded at Cap Studios in Portage, MI and was released with a Picture Sleeve later that year on the local Phalanx Label. The single got picked up by RCA Records for nationwide release and is rated today as one of the best and most exciting double sided major label garage 45s of the 1960s. Break-A-Way has re-issued the single with its original front sleeve and a newly designed backcover feat a short band history and unseen pictures.

ROCKA, DALE -& THE VOLCANOES- - HOT ROCKIN' BABY
Tracks: Side A: Hot Rockin' Baby / My Baby Is Gone. Side B: The Track Of Love / Volcano.

SOUL GESTAPO - UP TO YOU
The Spanish power-trio with the most class and elegance, Soul Gestapo have finally released their songs on seven inch vinyl, comprising Australian hi-energy-blues, American rock'n'roll, and an awesome Long Ryders cover.

VARIOUS - WE WANT TO BE BLACK
A tribute from white artists to black music. Guadalupe Plata (Sacalo Sacalo, by Jessie Mae Hemphill), with their ultra dirty swampy blues, the great surprise in the past months, not only in Spain. The Clams ('Something's Got A Hold On Me', by Etta James), an all female soul/r&b combo. Lord Rochester ('Crawdad' by Bo Diddley), Russ Wilkins band, a British garage legend (Wildebeests, Thee Milkshakes and Pop Rivets with Billy Childish). Chandler & the Chasers ('Promise Land' by Chuck Berry), from New York, Mike Chandlers, singer of the legendary Raunch Hands, latest adventure to date.

LP (Album)

BLACK ACE - BLACK ACE
Lone LP from Fort Worth bluesman B.K. Turner, originally released in 1960. He was one of the first bluesmen to play a National steel guitar on his lap with a slide and this entire LP features just that guitar and his unique voice. Includes download.

BOGGS, DOCK - VOLUME 2
The second release from this legendary folk-blues banjo player, recorded in 1964. A mix of Appalachian folk and African-American blues. Lovingly reissued on vinyl with an exact replica of the original Folkways jacket and booklet.

COTTEN, ELIZABETH - FOLKSONGS & INSTRUMENTALS WITH GUITAR
...CAROLINA FOLK SONGS AND TUNES'. - The first album from the late, legendary folk-blues guitarist and singer. Featuring her oft-covered classic tune, 'Freight Train' and her idiosyncratic, self-taught upside-down left-handed guitar playing style, this is an absolutely essential collection from an American folk legend lovingly reissued here on vinyl in an exact replica of the original paste-on Folkways jacket with booklet.

HOLCOMB, ROSCOE - CLOSE TO HOME
This is a new release of the last album that appeared before his death in 1981. Holcombe was a coal miner and farmer for much of his life, and those struggles are reflected in his sparse, haunting recordings. Featuring only HOLCOMB on vocals, guitar, and banjo, this is a beautiful collection of folk-blues and old-time ballads including the epic 'The Village Churchyard'. Lovingly reissued on vinyl with an exact replica of the original Folkways jacket and booklet.

HOPKINS, LIGHTNIN' - TEXAS BLUES MAN
This set offers some of the rawest and strongest recordings of his career. Originally released in 1968. Includes download.

MCDOWELL, MISSISSIPPI FRED - DELTA BLUES
Arguably the greatest recordings of his career were the two albums for Arhoolie, recorded at the height of the blues revival in 1964-1965. This is the first of those two and it's an absolutely stunning piece of delta blues majesty. Includes download.

NEW BOMB TURKS - PISSING OUT THE POISON (2LP)
26-song, 76-minute collection of a wide variety of TURKS rarities, featuring buckets of tracks from out-of-print singles and some ace unissued scorch! The vinyl version is a DOUBLE-LP, Gatefold-Sleeved, Dual Inner Dust-Jacketed monstrosity and 12-page full-color foldout booklet in the CD.

RIVER CITY TANLINES - COAST TO COAST (RED/YELLOW)
Red/yellow vinyl, limited to 350 copies. European edition on the Amsterdam-based MV50 label. Memphis garage punk from members of LOST SOUNDS, MR. AIRPLANE MAN, SUBTEENS & R.L. BURNSIDE's band. From garage rock to 80s hardcore beats to pure pop, RCTs' music is the sound of the Memphis scene. More info later.

SPENCER, JON -BLUES EXPLOSION- - MEAT & BONE
LP version. Their first new studio album in 8 years, a blistering return to form.

VARIOUS - HOUSE RENT PARTY, VOL. 2
Great LP in a kinda desperate mould, as in a mix of r&b, rock'n'roll, instros, rockabilly etc. Lot's of great tunes and great (unintentionally) funny sleeve notes and a fantastic misspelt cover tag line "Music to disturb your neighbours". Side A: Lightinin Hopkins & Ruth Ames - Finally Met My Baby. Phil Flowers - No Kissin At The Hop The Roulettes Orchestra - Venus Rock Bob Taylor - Taylors Rock Lou Berry and the Bel Raves - Hot Rod Chet Atkins - Boo Boo Stick Beat Ray Smith - Makes Me Feel Good Anna Belle Caesar & Lionel Hampton - Little Annie Side B: John Lee Hooker - Late Last Night Larry Okeefe - Rolling Stone Fay Simmons - Dont Slam The Door On My Heart Evelyn Freeman - Didn't It Rain Sugar Pie de Santo - Slip-in Mules Joe Mayfield - I'm On The Move The Renegades - High Tension The Galaxies - Watch Your Step
