When was the last time you bought a truly KICK-ASS garage-punk 45? Well, here's yr fucking oyster! Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Danny & the Darleans come leaping outta the gate like hungry leopards bustin' loose from the zoo. Danny Kroha (Gories, Demolition Doll Rods) embraces his garage punk roots, snarling and yelpin' like the bastard son of Iggy and Lou, slingin' a badass axe that'll peel yr goddamn earlobes off. Joined by Richie Wohlfeil on drums and Colleen Burke on bass. Limited edition of 500, don't snooze.
GRIFFITH HARTER UNION - PROGRESS/A HOUSE IN THE COUNTRY
Two forgotten Chicago garage rock classics from the dawn of "long-hair" and the wah-wah pedal in 1967. Two great PRETTY THINGS covers. Includes photo / bio insert and hand stamped sleeve. Limited edition of 300 records. 45 r.p.m. Alonas Dream Records is pleased to present a reissue of the only single from fabled Chicago garage rock band: The Griffith Harter Union. These sides, originally recorded at Chess Studios, represent the only audible remains of the band which played frequently in Chicagos burgeoning "Old Town" music scene. The record was originally released in an edition of a few hundred on the Chicago label "Jim-Ko" in 1967. The searing lead guitar on the A-side Progress is a tough Chicago garage take on a song made popular by The Pretty Things and features the very early use of a wah-wah pedal, which was only invented in late 1966. The band played all the major clubs throughout Chicago and its suburbs as well as a few gigs on the road, including a two week booking at the Aragon Ballroom backing up Baby Huey and the Babysitters. They were also featured at the first Chicago "Human Be-In" held on Mothers Day 1967 in Lincoln Park. The band existed from 1967 until 1969.

Discos Jaguar are pleased to present the Midnight shots second EP "Here come the bombs!". It includes four fabulous themes which were recorded in January 2012 in Circo Perrotti studio in Gijn to offer us a sound faithful to those analogic recordings from late 50s and early 60s. This new record is the confirmation of these guys from Valencia who firstly introduced themselves with their first album called "4 shots of R&B", also edited in Discos Jaguar, subsidiary of Discos Monterey. The 4 original songs are "Routes to Roots" and " Aches from mistakes" in the A side and "Up at dawn" and "Sleepin With The Fishes" in the B side.

ADKINS, HASIL - EVENING SHADOW ROAD
Near the end of his life, Hasil Adkins met Amy Krueger. They fell in love. Hasil wrote a bunch of songs for Amy, and recorded them at home in West Virginia. He sent them to Amy. Amy promised him that they would get released someday. It took a while after Hasil's death before Amy felt emotionally equipped to deal with the project but here, at last, is the album. This is Hasil at his most soulful and tender, like you have never heard him before. You think you know Hasil Adkins, but you might be wrong. Includes a 24 page full color illustrated book by Amy Krueger. Old school "tip on" cover.
DOMNICKS - SUPER REAL
Their debut album Super Real marks a coming of age for The DomNicks. Forged by Perth based Dom Mariani and Nick Sheppard, the band is a powerful blend of swagger 'n' roll rock, soul and pop smarts. Mariani is best known as the driving force behind The Stems, DM3 and The Someloves, while Sheppard's pedigree boasts 80's Bristol punks The Cortinas and thereafter as Mick Jones' replacement in the 1983-86 line-up of The Clash. In 2007 the pair teamed up with Howard Shawcross (The Elks, The Riptides) on bass and Marz Frisina on drums, quickly developing into a very 'hang loose' combo. Playing a mix of Dom and Nick's originals with a spread of 60's and 70's garage and soul classics, they are a band of seasoned players punching well above their collective musical weight. Super Real continues in the tradition of The DomNicks' previous recording, Hey Rock 'n' Roller (Off The Hip 2009). Expanding on Hey Rock 'n' Roller's gutsy guitar driven sound, Super Real takes a ride through blues, soul, funk, and classic guitar pop influences to create one seamless musical journey fuelled by the vim and vigour of a noble era. Among the 12 tracks you'll find the Exile era Stones' sound of Reconcile, the brazen brass and swing of Let's Go Baby, soul flavours in I Wonder What You're Doin' Now, the straight ahead rollicking of Miracle and tantalising twists and turns of the electric sitar driven Winter. It's bound to cause the head and heart to shake.

Freakbeat fuzz garage at is best!!!
ZAHIR, AHMAD - VOL. 3, KING OF 70'S AFGHAN POP! (2LP)
The latest installment in the rich Ahmad Zahir discography brings you a new exciting selection of Afghani '70s psychedelic flavoured folk-pop featuring the voice of a once modern Afghanistan. Organ, wah-wah guitar, tablas, spaghetti-western trumpets, effects and the luxuriant voice of Ahmad make a great mix for anyone into exotic sounds. Ahmad was an open-minded person who wanted culture and freedom for his country. Most likely that exactly is the reason why he was killed. We guess he'd be pleased to know that the label re-releasing his music will be giving 1 Euro per sold record to ASDAH, a Catalan organization working for the preservation of women's rights in Afghanistan. Don't hesitate to support the good cause!
