Can't wait to get home and listen to this show! I predict much gyrating and jiggling in the Muck residence this weekend...!! Also glad not to see sandy nelson's Casbah on the playlist, 'cos I got that one in my next offering...

GP show are getting better and better - and this show by the Screamin' Soul Preacher is an absolute belter. I have listened back 3 times (or is it 4?) already and the grooves are infecting others in the Des Perate household who have been (often - but not always - unwisely) breaking out into spontaneous bouts of belly dancing and shouts of 'play that tunes again'. The edible medley is a particular favorite - which in turn inspired one of our household to arrive back this evening with two boxes of Loukoum and some strong, strong coffee. INSPIRED!!

Thanks so much for the kind comments ! Glad you've enjoyed the selection !

@ Lord Muck : I should have played "Casbah" ! ...I just didn't think about it when I cooked this playlist !

@ Danny des Perate : I hope your household belly danced BEFORE having eaten the loukoums !
Cheers !!!

I've stumbled by accident through these old comments again and decided to repost them here from the ancient GaragePunk blog. Man I couldn't let a comment from Mike Edison disappear in the thick mist of the internet !!!
Thanks again to all the authors of these comments. I really enjoy them !

Beyond sublime, what a storming show! And any show that drops “Come with me to the Casbah” by Ganimian and his Orientals at the very start deserves some kind of international peace prize. How I love that lop-sided groove, I’ll be camel-walking all day now.

SSP, you truly the man!! Shokran…
