Comment by Pete Sottrel on March 13, 2013 at 7:10am Your show is now firmly established as my favourite garage punk radio show - and there is stiff competition. I love the range of different styles and the way that you chose them from differing eras. My only gripe is that it takes me ages to finish listening to a show, properly, as I have to investigate bands that have excited me, immediately, and there are always loads. Faves that you have turned me onto, so far, include Bloodbirds, Distractions (took me ages to find out that they are actually Sauna Youth in disguise), Lebenden Toten (are they still going?), The Beez and Deep Heat. Thanks so much for your excellent efforts!

Comment by Ryan Katastrophe on March 13, 2013 at 11:47am Thanks Pete! We had our doubts as to how well a show like this would be received on garagepunk.com. We're leaning more on the punk, post-punk, synth punk/pop side of the spectrum and you're more likely to hear a synthesizer than a farfisa organ, after all. I'm glad to know it's reaching at least a few people!
Comment by Jeremy Kitchen on March 13, 2013 at 2:59pm Sadly it will not play...
Comment by Pete Sottrel on March 13, 2013 at 5:51pm I think that the strength of the garage punk radio shows is their diversity and the acres of ground that they cover, between them. I love the Nuggets-era garage sound, and the number of reprisals of that sound that has come round at fairly regular intervals, since, but that doesn't mean that I don't also love hardcore, anarcho-punk, pop-punk, Posh Boy-style late 70s/early 80s punk, 2nd wave Brit punk etc. etc. Also, there's plenty of great stuff in many of the shows that one would be hard pressed to file under "punk" of any description, which is just fine by me.
By the way, I have today been mostly playing Keel Her's "Riot Grrrl" over and over from her bandcamp page, thanks to your having it Vicious Visions 3. Is there an mp3 of that available anywhere, please, as the Critical Heights site isn't working properly?
Comment by Pete Sottrel on March 18, 2013 at 5:09am Eventually managed to register on the Critical Heights website; great deals on some 7" singles (including that magnificent Keel Her track) at £1.66 per record, including mp3 download.
