NICE FACE - synth-pop garage-rock punk!
Ian Magee - Maryland
Nice Face, the project of Ian Magee, former vocalist for New York's Some Action that debuted with The Band That Sucked The Life Out Of Rock'N Roll And Killed Itself In The Process (Gigantic Music, 2006), wed the two fashionable revivals of the era, synth-pop and garage-rock, adding the swaggering brevity of punk-rock, on Immer Etwas (Sacred Bones, 2010), that compiles previously released material, notably the instrumental Decipher, the catchy demented psychobilly I Want Your Damage and the rave-up Beater.
Horizon Fires (HoZac, 2012) was just a bit too chaotic for the sake of diversifying, resulting in too much filler next to the really inspired "songs".
