From the Blue Things' self-titled RCA LP from 1966, a song that tells the story of a young girl trapped in a life as a prostitute. Unusually adult subject matter for a mid-sixties teen pop group to attempt, but the Blue Things do it brilliantly. Written by Marge Barton, lead vocals by Val Stecklein, and now available on LET THE BLUE THINGS BLOW YOUR MIND, a 2-CD retrospective at www.cicadelic.com. (This is the "director's cut" -- had to fix a couple of things...).
