JOLTS BIO or ANATOMY OF A RNR MACHINE

ELECTRIFYING ROCK AND ROLL!... It might be the easiest way to describe Vancouver, BC's The Jolts, but they wanted a full bio so here it is. Formed in 2005, the Jolts have been building their army of die hard fans the right way... one high energy show at a time. Barely stopping to catch a breath between songs, the Jolts continue in the tradition of The Ramones with songs full of tight power chord rythyms, poppy hooks and bizzare lyrics. (No surprise that they moonlight every Halloween as cover band The Ramores)
The first EP, "Jinx"(2006) showed us their Dead Boys/Pagans roots, but it was the first LP, Haute Voltage" (2008) that put the Jolts on the map as a punk rock band willing to take chances. Haute Voltage climbed the canadian college charts (despite being released and distro'd by the band) and showcased their love for scandinavian acts like Turbonegro and the Hellacopters. After multiple Canadian tours and a rythm section revamp the Jolts went in to the studio and came out with "Eight Percent", an album that put it all out there again. Earlier influences stick around but this time Hanoi Rocks and even some Gary Numan are thrown into the mix. With worldwide distro on ledgendary canadian label Sudden Death Records, The Jolts are on the verge of taking the world by storm and you'll be seeing Joey Blitzkrieg, Joshy Atomic, Von Dander and L. Snakes killing it in a bar, basement, or boozecan near you any day now... if they ever get their shit together.
