What's RockN Your Turntable?

I am always on the hunt for killer rock n' roll bands that I have yet to discover. Most weekends i search record bins or online for some tasty new or used vinyl to spin. So, what records are on heavy rotation on your sound system? Here are my top 3 records for this week.

1) The Points/ Maaster Gaiden split 7" (Big Action Records)

2) The King Khan and BBQ Show "Teabag Party 7" (Crypt)
3) Carbonas/ DieRotzz split 7"(Die Slaughterhaus Records)

I'm a rock 'n' roll fan too, but this entire week I've been listening to this pop artist named Declan Galbraith. There's this cover of "House of the Rising Sun" on his myspace, and it's so sick. I love it. You should check it out. www.myspace.com/declanmusic

I agree. It's a fucking genius album. One of the best reissues of '07. That Radioheartbeat label has a bunch of gems.

Today I've been spinning The Adjusters 3rd album 'Otis Redding Will Save America'.
Must admit I wasn't too keen on this album when it was released. But it's one of those records that grows on you over time.

My tastes come and go...depending on my mood...but recently...on my cd player.

:The Tubeway Army - The Pleasure, Gary Numan's band before 'Cars'...its quite punky, no synths, from 78' sessions.
:The Pointed Sticks - Waiting For The Real Thing, a great catchy comp. of their singles etc....much better than the Perfect Youth cd, which is a bit tame.
: Hollywood Brats - a 70's Brit. version of the New York Dolls, tracks like Sick On You pre-date punk by a few years...good party fun!

I dont listen to records as much as I should....but when I do, I have fave albums that just always sound great on vinyl....
:Devo - are we not men we are Devo- This first album sounds so damn good, and it never sounds old...and so far no cd release has captured its great warm sound.
: Joe Jackson - Look Sharp - great powerpop for parties.
