I like all 3 of those bands, but in the states, we only had The Who... fer years.... never heard of their contemporaries like The Creation and PT. Another similar band sound is The Attack's "Magic in the Air".

I agree about the Moulty song...cringeworthy! Mostly I hate it when I'm driving around listening to good music and then have to go in a store and fuckin' Michael McDonald or Doobie Brothers crap is on the overhead speakers....aaaghhh! ...btw, The Stooges' Fun House is NOT overrated...and i love 'We Will Fall' on the 1st LP.

GO GO KITTY by The New Bangs - I can't listen to this trippy little ditty , it gives me the willies ...seriously .

The White Stripes - Overated.

O bla di o bla da (or whatever it's called ) - The Beatles

Any Death Metal- you know the type of thing ...stuff where the vocalist (?) sounds like the Evil dead .

Early '80s horseshit they used to call AOR: Journey, Bad Company, REO Speedwagon, Styx.
I have vivid recall of being stuck- more than once!- in a car backseat trying to enjoy a warm Busch while the moron driver had one of these sorry 'bands' cranked to conversation-stopping level. Arrrgh!
During this era, I found old surf, r-billy, blues, warped bluegrass + punk instead. Still there, mostly~

i have to agree on all of those songs, but i like the night chicago died. i remember it as a kid and loving it. you forgot a couple of songs tho...

you to any bar in america and there's a rock band playing, there's always some f*#kin' idiot in the place yelling out to the band to play those f#*kin' songs! same guys that drink bud, drive only chevys and live for nascar.

white riot is a classic! i agree w/ wild thing. i can't stand that song, but if you take away wild thing the troggs are a great band.
p.s- footloose is kinda a guilty pleasure of mine. something about hearing it when i was a kid.

I can't stand The Clash so i could have filled my top 10 with their whole repertoire but i thought i'd be kind.

Wild Thing? WHAT? yer not into a bit of Ocarina then?
Howlin' Wilf and the Veejays did a great version of Summertime (many moons ago)
Jack the Ripper? What's old Sutch ever done to you? (well, not much in recent years I'll grant yer)

I might just have to add -

Anything by Rudi Protrudi
(definately more than 10 'metal' garage gringles, I don't own any of his discs so I can't list 'em!)
Anything that was and has been in the UK singles chart since 1979 (outdone myself here... apart from maybe Tenpole Tuder and King Kurt)

Seriously? What do you like?
Psychotic Reaction what a great song. Sounds so lovely on vinyl.
Jack The Ripper - have you heard the One Way Streets version? Surely you would like that one.

Only Ten Songs...what are you friggin kidding me! John AKA Lard sums it up with the UK Chart but I'll have to add in pretty much every drippy flowery psyche song, prog rock track and any song by shit bands who are told they are great when they are clearly not (eg The Horrors)
