Where do you live?: Malmö, Sweden

About Me:: The Branded are a garage R'n'B trio from Malmö in southern Sweden. Primitive drums, fuzzy guitar and pounding bass make up the Branded's wild and raw sounds. One 45 recorded in June 07 and the next 45 is out December 07 on Dirty Water records. Debut LP released April 2008 on Dirty Water records. Tours so far have included Norway, Italy, UK, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland, and thats just in one year! Touring Germany/Switzerland/Italy and UK this spring and summer for the release of the new LP. Check em out if you get a chance! Lee Tea strums guitars and shouts, John Krantz fiddles with the bass and Anders Hansson knocks the shit out of the drums (just dont make him angry!)

The whole course of the weekend was, if I’m being kind, disjointed. Garage Punk, for me at least, is a scene based on bands as well as records. For a weekend festival, it was pretty poor that you really only got eight bands. That’s including the three from The Sonics show. 'Branded' LP out April!

The first Branded LP is released in around mid/late April on Dirty Water Records, and came about after frantic two day recording session last autumn. All songs were recorded in glorious one dimensional mono! It will released on vinyl LP and CD and available from Dirty Water at the end of April.
