At 12:39am on September 5th, 2008, Mike Spenser said…: The only Cannibal I know that lives in Sweden is Mike McCann. Very "unique" Cannibal. Very prolific and sadly misunderstood by most people, including myself. Still a great guy. We have about 21-22 songs "in the can" on both 8 track and 16 track formats (all ANALOGUE tape! Thank god!) I have a complete studio at home to finish them off but there is just too much personal stuff in my life going on at the moment to do that. Someday though...Cannibals play one more gig on Oct. 3rd, 2008 at the Dirty Water Club in London. Could be my last...I want to finish on a good note. We started something great in '76 and it's best to leave it to fresh new talant than to pretend I'm the same livewire I was 10-15 years ago. Last thing I want to become is a parody of myself. I will be getting married on stage that night as well to my lovely Mariko who I met in January when the Cannibals did a fab short Japanese tour. Could ber some previous Cannibals jumping up for a finale aftewr our set to do the songs we recorded back in the '70's, '80's, 90's and early Naughties as a suprise. It will be a long night and one not to be missed. Will be a great crowd. Maybe we will be on your label one day. Let me know...MS

From one who remembers garage when it was "contempoary" or the "now" thing at the time, it is really great to see and hear many new bands and labels keeping the flag flying. May you include the Cannibals as well in you fabulous list of great garage bands. We started it in the UK in the mid 70's and now there are so many bands still doing it!
