Where do you live?: Tucson, Arizona

About Me:: I'm a filmmaker, music producer, publisher, journalist and longtime screamer with the band The Marshmallow Overcoat. (Check out a song from our new 2008 album, "The Light Show," on the left side of this page!) Our double CD/DVD "best of" set is also available! I was also frontman for THE PURPLE MERKINS, with lots of 45s and an album (available now as a CD). I produce other garage-psych groups, and have been an A&R guy for record labels.

I'm also the author of both the print version and DVD version of THE KNIGHTS OF FUZZ, documenting the neo-garage explosion since 1980. I've also written hundreds of features and reviews for newspapers and magazines worldwide. For years some have called me "The Guru of Garage," and for that I am grateful. :)
