Yeah, of course I'll be going to Valencia! I was one of the DJs last year and will be doing the same this year. It might even be more fun that Primitive. Those Spanish do know how to party...

See you at the mummies! Lets hope you have your "Red Scare" report started by then. Good move choosing a course you can watch films in! "It's study work teach'- honest!"

Ohh, and you are going to see the mummies! Damn I wish I lived in Europe :( I am in the process to move to this "luxurious" apt so my budget is limited can't make the trip again this year. I am definitely going to another fest next year hopefully in Spain.

Hey there

Was the link any good to you?

Hey there and cheers for the comment. I can't realy help with any books on the Red Scare subject because we never studied any. The course I did was a film studies/media course so we would watch films and discuss/write essays. Much of this was just watching films. Most of my actual course work for this subject came from films and hitting the internet for info on actual events eg News reports highlighting the media angle of how the Russians were depicted in papers and cartoons in the '50's. I also assume that by mentioning the Red Scare your refering to the earlier world war I events as depicted in the following link. http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/SaccoV/redscare.html

I don't know the type of course your on so cannot advise more on source material at this stage. Is it just a comparism piece your doing? or a full blown history of the threat of communism to the USA? Delete Comment
