During this time of Hurricanes pummeling Louisiana, and the northern Gulf Coast in general, we have the pleasure of having Jason Goodman and family staying here at Kaiser H.Q. southern command... Jason - not being very um... computer savvy (shall we say) and I put together a Myspace page for The Grave Diggers: southern California 50's Punks/60's Garage hoodlums. Stop by and read a bit about The… Continue

Listen kids... Michael Kaiser is a lazy one. I won't listen to tracks on Myspace. I actually detest Myspace and refuse to deal with it, actually. All who have experienced a no reply to a message on Myspace from me will attest to that! I chalk it up to a nasty case of A.D.D. (or whatever it is they call it these days)... What I do respond well to though, is wonderful, glorious little black 7" records - also known as 45s!! (alboom is cool, too) If you feel so inclined to show me some love (and… Continue

'em coming.
I was listening to a RadiOblivion recently - not sure which one - and you made some super-righteous comments about one of my formerly favorites bands ever, The Makers. The Estrus-era stuff (even Psychopathia Sexualis, in my book) was just so, so good and then... what the fuck happened? Maturity? Pretension? Professional ambition? I don't know, and I don't care.
I can't stand the post-Estrus stuff, except Stripped - since it is old material it is not awful and you make out a lot of previously arcane words, but every single track on there pales in comparison to the original... I will not even comment on the SubPop and Kill Rock Stars stuff. Both labels have many worthy releases, but none of them are from The Makers.
So Michael Maker will probably punch me in the face if ever our paths cross (doubtful), but I needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for spurring my vitriol!
