I have to catch up on your bulletins. In the meantime, ponder this (along the lines of your Aussie kick).
You're in Melbourne, Victoria on August 5th, 1966. A glorious night -- of real music!! -- and have come face to face with the decision of which show to go to. Do you choose:
Running, Jumping, Standing Still (ex-Missing Links) at the Biting Eye disco;
The Deakins (with go-go girls and support) at the Action;
Steve And The Board (with support Johnny Chester) at Lyndale;
The Loved Ones with support by Sandy Edmonds, and go-go girls) at the Penthouse;
The Wild Colonials (also with support by Sandy Edmonds) at Pinnochio's;
The Mood ("Rum Drunk") at Red Rock Disco;
The Rondells, plus Bobby & Laurie, Denise Drysdale, The Groop and go-go girls at Show-Go;
Tony Worsley & The Blue Jays at Mod's Tavern;
The Loose Ends at Thumpin' Tum;
or The Purple Hearts at 10th Ave disco?
And for good measure & because I truly can't resist:
I actually prefer listening to your player over mine Marko!? And that's just by tracklisting alone, cos until the 20th when my internet billing re-sets I can barely access pages let alone listen...... >:( waaaah waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Black Diamonds, Easybeats, Dolly Rocker Movement, Scientists, Stems, even Rolf Harris get's a look in!?! You sir, are a true connoisseur of all things Antipodean! That there player makes me burst with patriotic pride rather than shame for once! ;)
my favourite Stems track....

Yeah, we've seen the storms on the telly over here... strangely we are hoping for a similar storm season during our upcoming summer down here in the southern hemisphere... our last four or five summers have been dry dry DRY, when usually it's stinking humid and hot during the day with a big ol thunderstorm at night to cool things down.... damn global warming has screwed the old cycle up for us :( Much as I hate the humidity for messing with the hair, I want it back!! Dry summers are just weird in the tropics!!
Hey I've heard a rumour from a very reliable source that Chants R&B are going to be playing in Melbourne in mid December!! *squeals with joy* I'm doing everything in my power to ensure that I'm there!!

Hey Marko, Yeah, it's been a bit nuts lately... I'm off to a record fair this morning and then tonight a showcase for a local record label, Turkeyneck Records. Should be fun! Since I got back from Europe I've landed a new job that takes up a lot of my time (unfortunately), have put my back out and recovered, am studying so I can be a qualified trainer and train people at 4ZZZ in Radio Announcing and they'll get a nationally recognised qualification.... from me!! Who would've thunk it?! So what's happening over there?
aaaaaaaaaw hahaha you know how to get on my good side Marko!!! I'm a sucker for page compliments, I like to think of it as "online room decorating"!
You can hang out at my page listening to Tex Williams ANY time you want.... on the condition we have the odd sing-a-long to smoke smoke smoke and I can hang around here listening to the Sunsets and all the rest of your exquisite picks, deal?? ...... I thought so! ;)
Howdy Marko! Nice to see a familiar face around here..... you have some groovy tunes up there mate..... I'm figuring it will take a while to work this hideout stuff out!
